The Prison Project is offered to Lehigh students as a volunteer opportunity through the Office of the University Chaplain and the Center for Spirituality and Dialogue.

Selected Lehigh students will weekly report to the Northampton County Jail to tutor low security inmates to help them prepare for high school graduation or equivalency exams (GED). Tutoring focuses on developing reading, writing, social studies, science and math skills.

Everyone that has volunteered to tutor in the past has said "...this is a very rewarding experience!" and "I can't wait to tutor again!".

A security clearance is required to participate in this project.
